What Linux distribution for download for Mac OS X?

I have a MacBook with Mac OS X Tiger. In I (think I read somewhere) correctly that Tiger x86? http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download If I go to download from the website, I ask you to choose the team I have. The options are the standard PC (x86, Pentium, Celeron, etc) and the second 64-bit AMD and Intel. The MacBook is an Intel, but I would also add that x86 architecture … then I select the option to download? Thanks!
