Install Android on a netbook?

I'm not very good in computer programming and do not know how to do things like build distributions Linux, but I would try to do with the help of Google Android on a netbook or laptop age, it is good for one as a media player and use applications Andriod before I commit to buying a Tablet PC Android expensive (or IPAD). Who knows where an ISO for an installable version of Android, or a downloadable installer, which fits on a USB stick? I tried google, but all seem to find instructions for using the Android SDK on a PC, but I want it as a core operating system Android running not as a virtual machine. It's Android, I have compiled for things like facilities and Ubuntu and Suse, but now would try to see Android as well, and the height.
